Meredith College's Department of Mathematics and Computer Science seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in statistics to begin in August 2018.
Duties include teaching introductory statistics and mathematics courses and upper-level statistics courses that support general education, the statistics minor, and the mathematics major; engaging in departmental and College service; actively participating in scholarly activity; and advising and mentoring students.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in statistics (or a closely related field), by time of appointment, and demonstrated excellence in college teaching. Effective teaching and advising, scholarly activity and service are required for promotion and tenure.
